What can you put in a dumpster rental?

When you rent a dumpster or roll-off container from us, your contract will state what items it is designed for. In general, that includes non-hazardous waste, including:

  • Construction materials like wood, tile, carpeting, paper, metal, cardboard, plastic, glass, and concrete
  • General non-hazardous bagged waste and garbage
  • Packaging
  • Textiles
  • Furniture
  • Small, non-hazardous appliances that don’t contain freon or refrigerant
  • Yard and landscaping waste
How long is the rental period for roll-off containers and dumpsters?

We can customize the terms of your contract to your specific needs. In general, our rentals are for short-term or on-demand needs rather than permanent or long-term projects.

What dumpster sizes do you offer, and what are the dimensions?

We offer a range of container sizes from small to large to specialty. Our small containers range from two to 10 cubic yards. Our large containers range from 15 to 40 cubic yards. We also offer wheeled residential trash and recycling carts in 32-, 64-, and 96-gallon capacities. The dimensions are as follows:

Can I throw anything away in the dumpster?

Please see the list of items above for our commercial and residential dumpster rentals. For our recycling container rentals, you can collect dry, non-food, non-hazardous recyclable waste, including:

What items are strictly prohibited?

While our dumpsters are designed to manage waste disposal for a wide range of industries, there are some items that cannot be put in commercial or residential trash containers, dumpsters, or roll-off containers. Doing so could pose a safety risk, increase the chances of environmental contamination or hazards, and result in fines or fees. However, you can schedule a special pickup or drop off these items at a specialized waste transfer center or hazardous waste facility. We prohibit:

  • Aerosol cans
  • Ammunition
  • Animals
  • Car batteries
  • Electronics
  • Explosives
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Fireworks
  • Freon appliances
  • Hazardous waste, including asbestos, chemicals, solvents, flammable liquids, lead, oils, and paints
  • Propane, gasoline, diesel, or other fuel tanks or containers
Are there items that cost extra to dispose of?

Certain items require a special pickup or drop-off, which may cost more. This includes:

How will I know if the dumpster is full?

If you see debris at or overhanging the rim, if the door or lid cannot close properly, or if you notice that the waste level is reaching the designated fill line, your container is full. Call us to arrange for waste or recycling pickup.

What happens if I exceed the weight limit?

We may assess overage fees calculated per ton of excess weight. Please review your contract for further specifics.

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

A roll-off dumpster can damage your driveway if it is overfilled or contains a large volume of heavy debris like construction waste. You can reduce the risk of damage by using plywood, planks, or rubber mats to protect your driveway.
