Green Waste Processing & Composting Services in the Greater Boston Area

Residential and Commercial Composting Services

Composting is the practice of gathering green waste and organic waste materials so that they can decompose naturally and break down into a rich soil that can be repurposed for gardening and enriching other soils. It is the most natural form of recycling and a great way to keep organic materials (that don’t need to be put in landfills) out of landfills. Here at B-P Trucking, Inc., we offer green waste processing and composting services in the Greater Boston area because we believe they do a great service to our communities. They help keep unnecessary waste out of our dumps. They help beautify local parks, municipal buildings, commercial businesses, and homes. And they make our great state more sustainable. We understand that creating a composting bin and keeping up with what materials can and can’t be composted can be a bit of a chore. That’s why we make it a point to help as many people as possible get started with composting. If you have green waste and organic materials that you want to get rid of, you can call on us and we will make sure that they get responsibly composted or recycled.

Green Waste Composting Services in the Greater Boston Area

Green Waste Processing Services

Keeping your yard neat and tidy can produce a lot of green waste. From grass trimmings and tree branches to entire bushes and tree limbs, you may not have the ability to process all this green waste yourself. We can help. We can provide you with large green waste bins that can contain a large amount of yard waste. Then, you can set up a pickup time for these bins that suits your schedule. You can also call on us for residential yard waste removal, where you simply place your yard waste on the curb or in your driveway and our trucks come by at a scheduled time to pick it up. For businesses, we offer commercial green waste processing services, including industrial-size containers to help you manage organic waste.

Compost Pile Tip

Want to start your own compost pile? It’s a rewarding and very beneficial practice and we’ve got some tips for you

  • Get a Compost Bin – First, you’ll need a sturdy bin. You can use wire, concrete blocks, a simple wood box, or a plastic crate. Make sure there are enough holes in the bottom for drainage if you use a box or plastic crate. It helps if the bin has a cover, as well.
  • Fill the Bin – Start with a layer of coarse organic waste materials so that the mixture can aerate. Add alternating layers of green and brown compost material. Add a layer of regular soil for every 12 inches of compost material.
  • Keep it Damp – You’ll want to keep your compost pile damp. Make sure not to leave it sopping wet or saturated.
  • Aerate – Aerate the pile on a regular basis. Use a hoe, trowel, spade, or pitchfork (depending on the size of your pile). Try to make sure that the bottom layer reaches the surface, and the top layer becomes a lower layer.
